  • Is found in the north of Vietnam;
  • The life span is 15-20 years;
  • The female builds a nest of the air-bubbles which are formed by beating up with the hind legs of the mucus excreted by the skin. The received in the result nest with spawn is usually situated on the branches above the body of water, and hatched tadpoles fall directly into the water where their further development takes place. In Vietnam occur the populations of the species with the largest sizes (females up to 15-17 cm, males up to 12-13 cm). It is bred in captivity in Tula for the first time.
