Pained quail

- It is distributed in South-East Asia and Australia;
- Longevity is 10 years on the average;
- It is easy to distinguish males and females by their colouration: male has more dark tones, the belly is dark-brown, it has a white semi-circle on its throat, limited from above and from below with black colouration. Female has a more modest, “camouflaging” colouration;
- Males of painted quail help in constructing of the nest, protect females from the enemies, take care of the nestlings.
