- It is distributed in the south-west of the USA, north of Mexico.
- The life span is up to 29 years.
- The Latin name of the genus is translated as “beaded skin” in some places the lizard is called a “beaded” lizard.
- It becomes tame in a good way, but in the natural environment, even during a walking in the street, it finishes to be tame. In the wild they spend the most part of their time in the holes, where they dig out their prey. Venomous, lethal cases among people are rare!
