  • It occurs only on the Madagascar island.
  • Longevity is up to 20 years;
  • Young specimens, in contrast to adult, have red-brown colouration, nearly without pattern.
  • It is the only large arboreal snake on Madagascar. Tula Exotarium is one of the Zoos which works on the program of conservation of this species in captivity and participates in keeping of the International Studbook on the Madagascar tree boa.
